A Prayer

O God, please help me face
Life's heart-stopping pace
This is probably just a phase
I feel like I'm in a race
When nobody can ever win
Emptiness is what I feel within
Lord, I'm so tired of running
Please shower me with your healing
From your path please don't let me depart
To your kingdom let me be a part
I know I can trust you right from the start
This, Lord, is my prayer from the heart.
