(Three Poems In One)

I. Final Goodbye
Forever you will love me, you said

The world stopped, as if it's only you and me
I longed so much to declare the same

I looked into your eyes, and I knew
Oh, you do love me, true and deep
But I also saw this love is just for a friend to keep

I could only wish I'd have
The courage and the strength, if not the will
To look into your eyes and bid
These feelings the most final of goodbyes.

II. Truth In My Eyes
Why is it that you cannot lie
While looking into someone's eyes?

Why are the things the lips sealed
In the eyes are fully revealed?

Why are the feelings you try to hide
Can still be found, if the eyes took guide?

So if I told you I did not love you
Ever before and never will

All you need to do is look into my eyes
And there you'll discover, what I meant was otherwise.

III. Unmasked
In your eyes
The feelings are there
Unmasked

Emotions rose
Within you, within me
An avalanche

I hold on to the hope
That it is only me
But it would be too much to ask

For it is only her
And nothing can ever
Change the fact

So I'll just close my eyes
Not wanting you to see
My feelings there... unmasked.
